A new exhibition is opening today at Pertwee Anderson & Gold Gallery in the heart of London’s Soho, featuring new photographic work by Alexander James: “A beautiful announcement of death”.
In this new body of work Alexander James uses water as an expedient to achieve a painterly effect in his photographs: his scenes, immerses in black tanks of water, are painstaking manipulation of water and light, without any post-production re-touch.
